The Honda Goldwing 1981 was the first year of the second generation of the Goldwing line of motorcycles. It featured a 1,085cc liquid-cooled engine with four cylinders and a five-speed manual transmission. The bike had a weight of approximately 670 pounds and a fuel capacity of 6 gallons. The 1981 Goldwing also had a unique suspension system which comprised of air shocks at the rear and air-assisted forks in the front. It was equipped with a range of accessories such as a radio, luggage carrier, and a fairing. The bike's power output was 82 horsepower and it could reach a top speed of 118 miles per hour. Many consider the 1981 Goldwing to be a classic in the touring bike category.
